Valerie Deacon was born in Vancouver and studied at the Vancouver School of Art. She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions at major public art galleries and museums across Canada.

A consummate painter, Valerie works boldly in brightly coloured acrylics with assorted gel mediums, creating transparent layers that invite the viewer into the paintings’ depths.
