Ron Hedrick was born in 1942 in Vancouver, BC. He took his first art lesson from noted landscape painter, Karl Wood, in 1968. Strongly influenced by the Impressionist Movement, Ron’s seascape, and landscape paintings are spontaneous and colourful with confident brushwork.
Dedicated and disciplined, he spends long hours painting in his studio, on site (plein air) painting and sculpting models. Ron holds workshops in the community and instructs students in his studio. He has been artist in residence at the Robert Bateman School, teaching value studies in oils. Hedrick has been featured in the publications Magazin d’Art, Reader’s Digest and International Art. He has also appeared on a local T.V. show “Vancouver Mansala” as well as being interviewed by Rafe Mair on CKNW radio. Ron was also voted in as a member of an international network of exclusive artists, the Salmagundi Club on New York’s Fifth Avenue.
Hedrick’s oils are in corporate and private collections around the world.
