Born and raised in Quebec, Francine has called Kamloops home since 1991.
Demonstrating artistic skills in many fields throughout childhood, she only became interested in visual art in her early twenties. Through personal studies and research, she started experimenting with different mediums and explored many different subjects. She grew excited with all the possibilities offered in using this varied approach, and today still chooses not to limit herself in terms of medium or subject. The subject that inspires her dictates the medium used for each particular painting.
She loves to paint in a realistic style, her only goal being to celebrate the beauty of nature and people, and to share with the viewer that emotion she feels when encountering a touching subject. Though only painting sparingly for the last 20 years, her lucky break came when she decided to participate in her first public showing in Kamloops in the summer of 2003. In addition to selling many paintings, the best was to be noticed by her most admired artist in the city--David Langevin, who introduced her to Hampton Gallery.
Moving in the direction of painting full time, Francine is excited with all that entails: more learning, new experiences, and more gratitude in living her passion.
