About The Artist

 Bev Searle-Freeman was born and raised in Zimbabwe where her early life revolved around farms, wildlife and wide-open spaces.  This honed a deep appreciation for nature in all its forms.   Bev enjoys working with different mediums for their unique qualities and characteristics, which gives her the freedom to vary her work--from the softness and flow of watercolours to the bold, flexible texture of acrylics; from the smooth grey tones of pencil to the crisp lines of black ink.

 Bev�s natural talent and versatility have given her the opportunity to explore many avenues and flavours of artistic expression.  One passion is recreating artwork from photos from the early days which allows her to recapture a moment passed by and forgotten.  Much of Searle-Freeman�s work is influenced by living a quiet and rural lifestyle, and her exposure to the diverse and natural splendour of both the North American and African continents.
