About The Artist

 Taisia Paczkowski, born in Russia, was influenced by Oriental art.  She attended Art College in England and later expressed herself in developing her own distinct technique in watercolour or mixed media.  Her paintings are poetic and sensitive without being sentimental.  Light and dark backgrounds provide strong atmosphere and mood.

 A simple weed, a joyfully blooming flower, perhaps a lifeless tree on a somble and moody sky, Taisia�s subjects are the simple and often forsaken elements of nature.  An article �Art Treasures of the Woods� in May 1979 Reader�s Digest, displays the beauty of some of her delicate effects in her paintings of weeds and wildflowers.
