Biography

Valerie Deacon was born in Vancouver and studied at the Vancouver School of Art. 

She has had numerous solo and group exhibitions at major public art galleries and

museums across Canada.

A consummate painter, Valerie works boldly in brightly coloured acrylics with assorted

gel mediums, creating transparent layers that invite the viewer into the paintings' depths.

Valerie's body of work is recognized for her dramatic redering of flowers and trees:

they virtrually take over the large canvas. 

With her solid background and trail-blazing professional reputation, whatever Valerie Deacon paints next is sure to be deeply moving, beautiful art.
